The Kiss at Ronald Bog Park
Michael Sweeney
The Kiss, 1978
The Kiss explores the cross as a symbol of geometry and spirituality and was erected in Ronald Bog Park in 1978.
In 2019, Sound Transit created a wetland mitigation site at Ronald Bog Park to compensate for the impacts of light rail construction on nearby wetlands. As part of this project, they relocated this sculpture called to a new spot in the park, located on a small grassy knoll.
FIELD
NOTES
12/30/2023 – The Light Rail is coming to help with the bogged down traffic. The Kiss is a cross point of Seattle’s budding urbanism and its preservation of its naturescapes.
